We are currently hiring Caregivers to focus on an immediate need for a male dementia patient who needs physical transfer assistance as well as our general client base.

General shifts available today are:

8AM-5 PM daily, Mon-Fri (must be able to take at least 4 shifts/week) Clients locations in West, South and Central St. Louis County areas

Dementia Care Patient:

Must be able to lift large and tall client from bed to chair to toilet to shower several times per shift Clients located in West St. Louis County areas Coverage needed for days 8AM-5PM window Prefer previous experience working with dementia client with assistance in handling both physical and emotional aspects of care

Staying In Place STL:

Typically shifts are available for Monday - Friday morning and afternoon Consistency in work hours to ensure a reliable paycheck Mileage reimbursement for client transportation to medical appointments, errands and activities Bonus referral program for new clients or employees Responsibilities / Activities include: Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, reminding clients of their medical schedules Meal planning and preparation Light housekeeping includes changing linens, laundry, dusting, vacuuming and cleaning bathrooms Provide transportation to appointments/activities/errands as needed Communicate with clients' families and Staying In Place STL staff regarding client observation, activities and hours of service

Qualifications:

Prefer at least 3 years of recent in-home caregiving experience Have a genuine desire to help people, have high moral standards of honesty and integrity Applicants must be bondable and pass these background checks: criminal background, driving record, and drug testing Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license and automobile insurance Able to meet positions physical demands. The work requires light physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis to assist clients in activities, ambulation, personal care, transfers and toileting.
