Summary As a Direct Care Worker at Weems Community Mental Health Center, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges. Responsibilities Monitor client behavior, mood, and overall mental health status. Offer emotional support, companionship, and encouragement. Assist clients in developing coping skills and self-management strategies. Implement individualized care plans developed by clinical staff. Support therapeutic activities, group sessions, or skill-building programs. Transporting clients to and from group/activities. Qualifications Experience in direct support roles, preferably in mental health settings. Ability to manage challenging behaviors with compassion and professionalism. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Demonstrated conflict management skills to resolve issues effectively.
