The Direct Care staff member is responsible for providing daily supervision, guidance, support, and care to residents. This position serves as a positive role model and works closely with the Qualified Professional and other team members to help residents meet their individualized goals while maintaining a safe and welcoming home environment. Duties Provide direct supervision and support to youth in the residential setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal care, meals, and hygiene routines Support medication administration following prescribed protocols and document all care activities accurately Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and resolve conflicts effectively Facilitate engaging activities that promote social skills, independence, and personal growth Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by assisting with light housekeeping and meal preparation Communicate regularly with residents' families, team members, and external professionals to coordinate care plans and share updates Transport residents to approved appointments, activities and school Qualifications Prior experience working with youth or adolescents Experience in residential group homes settings Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training will be provided if needed Experience working with individuals with behavior or emotional needs Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and safe patient lifting practices Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive disabilities is preferred Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach to client interaction and client rights awareness Required Qualifications Must successfully complete required background check and pre-employment screening Must completed all required training before employment Valid driver's license due to transporting residents must be able to work scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnight shifts is scheduled Must have high school diploma or GED required

Pay:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
