Residential Counselor

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to residents in a group home or assisted living environment. Your primary focus will be to enhance the quality of life for residents by ensuring their safety, dignity, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in memory care, personal care, and a strong understanding of resident rights. Responsibilities Assist residents with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration. Ensure a clean and safe living environment for all residents. Support residents in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance. Facilitate group activities that promote social interaction and engagement among residents. Monitor and document resident behavior, health changes, and any incidents that occur within the facility. Uphold resident rights and advocate for their needs within the home community care setting. Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement individualized care plans for each resident. Experience Previous experience in a residential setting or group home is preferred. Familiarity with memory care practices and personal care home operations is highly desirable. Knowledge of medication administration protocols and resident rights is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are required.
