Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication administration on the resident's MAR's Monitor and observe residents for changes in health status, reporting any concerns promptly to healthcare professionals Provide companionship and social support to promote mental and emotional well-being, engaging residents in recreational activities and social outings Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident and staff areas. Meal preparation and nutrition guidance Support residents' care needs through specialized behavioral management techniques and personalized routines Drive residents to appointments or community activities as needed, while adhering to safety protocols and driving regulations Document resident progress, incidents, and care plans accurately in compliance with facility policies. Log water, refrigerator, and freezer temperatures for compliance with health and safety guidelines. Experience Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of caring for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses. Familiarity with medication administration procedures Experience with home & community care services or personal care homes is advantageous Proven ability to handle emergencies using first aid skills effectively Strong caregiving background with experience supporting residents' personal needs and behavioral management strategies Ability to operate EMR systems efficiently for documentation purposes Valid driver's license and clean driving record for transportation duties is preferred
Education/ Qualifications:
"Para-Professional (PP)" within the mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse services (mh/dd/sas) system of care means an individual who is a: With the exception of staff providing respite services or personal care services, has a GED or high school diploma, or no GED or high school diploma, employed before November 1, 2001, to provide aMH/IDD/SA
service. Supervision shall be provided by a qualified professional or associate professional with the population served. The supervisor and the employee shall develop an individualized supervision plan upon hiring. The parties shall review the plan annually.Shifts Needed:
Alternating weekends: 7 am- 7 pmWeekdays:
