Job Summary We are seeking one compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide 24/7 personalized care for a client in Hookerton, NC. This vital role involves offering comprehensive support to these individuals with various health needs, disabilities, and wheelchair mobility care. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity while fostering independence. Responsibilities Provide continuous supervision and patient observation to monitor health status and respond promptly to changing needs. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Administer medications accurately following medical documentation and medication administration protocols while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Monitor vital signs and observe for signs of medical emergencies or changes in condition. Support clients with specialized care needs such as being vision impaired and assisting with wheelchair transitions. Maintain detailed medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and document all patient care activities clearly and professionally. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to ensure a safe and comfortable environment. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems efficiently to update patient information and communicate with healthcare teams as needed. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being within the home setting. Transport client(s) using a wheelchair accessible van to day program and/or community outings as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in senior care, home health, assisted living, or long-term care environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration. Specialized caregiving certifications are highly preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized support is advantageous. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation practices ensuring accuracy and confidentiality under HIPAA regulations. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting patients safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently while maintaining a caring attitude. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is mandatory depending on client needs. Pay:
