Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for individuals with diverse needs. Duties Provide comprehensive personal care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs and overall health status of residents Assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans and HIPAA guidelines Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe resident transfers and heavy lifting when necessary Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment through regular cleaning and organization Observe patient behavior closely to identify changes or concerns requiring medical attention or intervention Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including HIPAA, hospice care standards, and assisted living protocols Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Requirements Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing home settings, or long-term care environments Knowledge of patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic nursing skills Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are highly desirable Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's disease, or dementia is preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Strong observational skills for patient safety and health status updates Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams Ability to work independently within a live-in setting while maintaining professional boundaries Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents' quality of life This position is ideal for caring professionals committed to providing compassionate long-term support in a home setting.
