Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those with disabilities, memory care needs, or those residing in nursing homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of care plans and be committed to upholding the highest standards of patient care while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Provide direct support to clients by assisting with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each client. Assist clients with mobility and physical tasks, including lifting and transferring as necessary. Monitor and document vital signs as required, ensuring any changes are communicated promptly to healthcare professionals. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote their well-being and enhance their quality of life. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Uphold confidentiality and respect client privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications Previous experience in direct support roles or long-term care settings is preferred. Familiarity with memory care techniques and the ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of basic cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals for clients. Ability to lift and assist clients safely while maintaining proper body mechanics. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Certification or training in personal care assistance is a plus but not required.
