The Arc of North Carolina is seeking a compassionate, dependable, experienced Support Associate to provide individualized support to a male in the Southern Pines area. If you have experience supporting individuals with autism, have a background in ABA, and enjoy helping others stay active, engaged, and connected to their community, this could be a great opportunity for you! This position offers part-time to full-time hours and provides an opportunity to make a real difference through one-on-one, person-centered support. The Support Associate will help this individual:

• Participate in enjoyable indoor and outdoor physical activities
• Get out into the community and participate in activities and events
• Build independence by encouraging participation in household tasks and daily routines
• Stay active through activities such as swimming, bicycling, walking, and other recreational activities
• Develop skills, make choices, and have positive experiences in their home and community The ideal candidate will be patient, energetic, dependable, and comfortable working with individuals with autism.
