Job Summary Schedule 6:00pm- 6am 2-3 days a week We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver Overnights to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in a residential or community setting during nighttime hours. In this vital role, you will ensure residents' safety, comfort, and well-being through attentive observation, personal care assistance, and effective communication. Your energetic approach will help create a warm, secure environment where residents feel valued and cared for around the clock. Duties Monitor residents' safety and well-being throughout the overnight shift by observing for changes in condition or behavior Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using proper manual handling and patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts Administer medications accurately following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals and snacks aligned with dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper meal presentation and cleanliness Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, hygiene, and mobility assistance Document vital signs, medication administration, patient observations, and any incidents clearly and promptly in compliance with healthcare standards Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous Ability to monitor patients closely and respond swiftly to changes in condition or emergencies such as first aid or CPR certification required or obtainable upon hire Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities support is a plus Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks as needed for patient transfers Familiarity with patient rights, HIPAA compliance, and maintaining confidentiality at all times Flexibility to work overnight shifts with a positive attitude focused on compassionate caregiving Join us in providing vital overnight support that enhances quality of life for our residents!
