Intake & Engagement Coordinator HomeCare Advocacy Network Lincoln, NE Job Details Full-time $40,000 - $45,000 a year 21 hours ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Referral program Paid sick time Qualifications Phone communication Intake Caregiving Staff scheduling High school diploma or GED Driver's License Client interaction via phone calls Full Job Description Come Join Our Team!! We're a growing home care organization that takes our work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. At Home Care Advocacy Network, we help people remain safe, independent, and cared for in their own homes. That's meaningful work, and we believe the people doing it should enjoy where they work and the people they work alongside. We're looking for an Intake & Engagement Coordinator who likes people, communicates well, stays organized, and isn't afraid to jump in when things get busy. You don't need to know everything about home care on day one. What matters most to us is that you're dependable, kind, willing to learn, and genuinely interested in helping both our clients and our Care Advocates have a great experience with HCAN. We care about doing good work and treating people well while we do it. We work together, help each other out, laugh a lot, and take pride in what we do. We appreciate people who are dependable, willing to pitch in, and genuinely care about doing their part well. What You'll Be Doing You'll work closely with our scheduling and caregiver coordination lead, taking ownership of much of the day-to-day caregiver recruiting process while also helping with scheduling, caregiver communication, and after-hours coverage rotation. A big part of your job is pretty simple: help us find good people, get them through our hiring process, help them get connected to work, and make sure they continue to feel supported once they're part of our team. Care Advocate Recruiting & Intake Review incoming Care Advocate applications and promptly contact qualified candidates Conduct initial phone screens Schedule and conduct caregiver interviews Maintain consistent follow-up with candidates throughout the hiring process Keep applicant information and recruiting activity organized and up to date Coordinate with the team on hiring decisions and next steps Assist with onboarding and help new Care Advocates transition from newly hired to actively working We receive a steady volume of applicants, so responsiveness matters. We want candidates to feel welcomed and respected from their very first interaction with us. Scheduling Support Our scheduling team works hard to make great matches between our clients and Care Advocates. You'll provide additional support by helping with: Filling open shifts Contacting Care Advocates about available hours Responding to call-offs and changing coverage needs Maintaining accurate caregiver availability Identifying Care Advocates who want or have capacity for additional hours Communicating schedule changes clearly and professionally You won't be expected to walk in and run the schedule on day one. You'll work alongside an experienced team member who knows our caregivers, clients, and scheduling process well and can help you learn the ropes. Care Advocate Engagement Hiring a great Care Advocate is only the beginning. We want our team members to feel connected, supported, and valued once they're here. You'll help by: Building relationships with new and existing Care Advocates Checking in with newly hired team members Helping new Care Advocates get actively scheduled Following up with Care Advocates whose hours or availability have changed Answering routine questions and helping resolve everyday concerns Keeping our caregiver team informed and engaged Escalating concerns to leadership when appropriate After-Hours On-Call This position participates in our after-hours on-call rotation, initially every other week . On-call primarily involves responding to caregiver call-offs, urgent scheduling needs, and time-sensitive caregiver or client concerns outside normal office hours. Our office is closed on weekends, with the on-call phone available for issues requiring attention. On-call responsibilities are compensated in addition to salary: $25 per weekday on-call $150 per weekend on-call As our team grows, the frequency of the on-call rotation may change. Schedule This is a full-time, in-office position.
Monday-Thursday:
8:30 AM-5:00
PM Friday:
8:30 AM-3:00
PM Saturday-Sunday:
Office closed Compensation & Benefits $40,000-$45,000 annual salary , based on experience Additional compensation for participation in the on-call rotation Health insurance benefits HSA option for employees who elect an eligible health plan Flexible PTO built around trust, communication, and responsible coverage of the position Who We're Looking For We're probably a good fit for each other if you: Genuinely enjoy working with people Communicate comfortably by phone, text, and email Are organized and can manage several things happening at once Follow through and don't let things fall through the cracks Are comfortable making calls and talking with applicants throughout the day Can have professional but natural conversations and interviews Stay reasonably calm when the schedule suddenly changes Take initiative instead of waiting for someone to tell you every next step Enjoy being part of a team where people help each other Care about doing good work and treating people well Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, scheduling, healthcare, home care, customer service, or another people-focused role is helpful, but we're more interested in finding the right person than checking every box on a résumé. What Success Looks Like You'll know you're doing well when applicants hear from us quickly, interviews happen consistently, good candidates move efficiently through the hiring process, new Care Advocates get connected to work, open shifts receive timely attention, and our Care Advocates feel like they know who to call when they need help. Most importantly, your work should create additional capacity for the rest of the team so we can continue growing without losing the personal touch that matters to us. About Home Care Advocacy Network Home Care Advocacy Network provides non-medical in-home care that helps older adults and others who need assistance remain safe, independent, and connected in their own homes. Our work ultimately comes down to relationships—with our clients, their families, our Care Advocates, and each other. If you're looking for a place where you can know the people you work with, have a real impact, and be part of a team that's building something we're proud of, we'd love to meet you.
