Position Summary As an In-Home Caregiver, you will provide non-medical assistance to individuals of all ages with disabilities, chronic health conditions, or age-related needs. Services are provided in clients' homes and communities to help them remain independent while improving their overall quality of life. No two days are the same! Our caregivers assist with daily living activities, community involvement, companionship, and individualized support based on each participant's authorized service plan. Responsibilities Provide compassionate, person-centered care while promoting dignity, independence, and choice. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including: Bathing Dressing Grooming Toileting Mobility and transfers Assist with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), including: Meal preparation Light housekeeping Laundry Grocery shopping and errands Organization of the home Provide companionship and emotional support. Accompany clients to appointments and community activities when authorized. Encourage participation in hobbies, recreation, and community outings. Safely assist with transfers and mobility using proper body mechanics and adaptive equipment when needed. Observe and report changes in a participant's condition, behavior, or environment to the Kinship office. Complete electronic visit verification (EVV) and documentation accurately and on time. Follow each participant's individualized service plan. Maintain professional boundaries while developing positive relationships with participants and families. Adhere to all state regulations and Kinship policies.

Qualifications Preferred qualifications include:

Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities Experience in home care, assisted living, developmental disabilities, healthcare, education, or human services. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, compassionate, and self-motivated. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes. Ability to lift, transfer, bend, stand, and assist clients safely throughout the workday. Basic smartphone skills for clocking in/out and completing documentation. Nebraska Medicaid Waiver Requirements To work as a caregiver with Kinship In Home Care, applicants must: Be at least 19 years of age (preferred based on waiver requirements). Pass all required background checks, including criminal history and Adult/Child Abuse & Neglect screenings. Possess a valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance (when transporting clients or traveling between client homes). Maintain a reliable vehicle. Successfully complete Kinship orientation and required state training. Complete Nebraska DHHS Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation Training. Obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification that meets Nebraska Medicaid Waiver requirements (or obtain certification within the required timeframe after hire). Be legally authorized to work in the United States. Maintain compliance with all Nebraska Medicaid Waiver provider requirements.
