Duties Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to clients with diverse needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, developmental disabilities, or senior care. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), ensuring safety and comfort at all times. Monitor patients' vital signs, observe health status changes, and accurately document patient conditions in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Administer medications as prescribed, follow care plans meticulously, and support medication management processes. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions or preferences while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. Support patients with mobility using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods; assist with transportation to appointments or community activities. Maintain a safe environment through cleaning routines, infection control practices, and adherence to health protocols including first aid and CPR when necessary. Communicate effectively with clients' families and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive understanding of care needs and resident rights. Qualifications Proven experience working as an in-home caregiver or in settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health agencies. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and care planning. Familiarity with specialized care such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice support, autism support, neurodevelopmental disorders, and intellectual disabilities. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices safely. Strong communication skills for client interaction and collaboration with healthcare professionals; understanding of HIPAA privacy standards. Valid CPR and first aid certification; experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is preferred.
