Job Description

If you are good with kids and like a FUN, healthy atmosphere, we want to meet you! The Child Care Attendant is responsible for helping to maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment, and for interacting with children through active play and structured activities (all materials provided). Flexible schedule; Days OFF on holidays and snow storms; NO infants or changing diapers; Able to bring your own child to work with you; Minimum age requirement is 18 months for all children in KidsPlace. Our staff members are treated to a complimentary gym membership to all our clubs!
AVAILABLE SHIFTS
Evenings 4pm-8pm (Monday through Friday) Mornings 8am-11am (Monday through Saturday) Opportunity to pick up additional shifts

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing high quality care and establishing a respectful relationship with children, their families and visitors Having good physical stamina; able to lift children & work at their physical level Possess an understanding of how to identify and meet the needs of young children Treating children, their families and visitors with dignity, respect & professionalism Committed to safeguarding the welfare of toddlers and young children; Supervising the activities of young children at all times Maintaining cleanliness of toys, puzzles and surfaces of room Managing check-in and check-out lists for all children & parents/guardians Communicating needs of KidsPlace supplies to management Fields all member complaints and concerns to management Assisting front desk staff with greeting and checking in all members and guests Assisting front desk staff with answering and directing all incoming phone calls, updating billing Performs Opening and/or Closing Procedures for the club Maintaining cleanliness of gym - cleaning/organizing Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time, when needed Maintains professionalism and appearance, when not assisting members/children; avoids eating, sitting, reading, Internet surfing, or any other activities that are not work-related Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be highly motivated and energetic Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask Must be a team player, willing to cover or trade shifts when necessary
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Must have experience in childcare/ babysitting Must have clean background check CPR, First Aid, and AED will be provided if not already certified
Teaching:
1 year (Preferred) Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred) Experience in a health club or the hospitality industry (Preferred)
ABILITY TO COMMUTE/RELOCATE
Derry, NH:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

$10.00 - $12.00 per hour
