Job Description
Live-In Caregiver Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care and support for clients requiring ongoing assistance. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that enhances quality of life while promoting safety, comfort, dignity, and independence. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will serve as a trusted companion and support person for seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness in a home setting. This position offers the rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others through attentive and compassionate care. Duties Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance. Observe and report changes in a client's condition, behavior, or overall well-being to the appropriate family member or supervisor. Provide medication reminders in accordance with the client's care plan. Support clients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's disease and dementia, through redirection, supervision, and engagement. Assist with meal planning, preparation, and cleanup. Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, organizing, and maintaining a safe living environment. Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities as needed. Maintain accurate daily care notes and documentation. Follow client care plans while respecting privacy, dignity, and confidentiality. Requirements Previous caregiving experience preferred, especially with seniors or individuals with disabilities. Experience providing personal care assistance and support with daily activities. Ability to work independently in a live-in caregiving arrangement. Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional demeanor. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred. Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients safely when required. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to pass a background check.
