Job Description
Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Respite Care Provider to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families throughout Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties. This role provides short-term, person-centered care designed to give primary caregivers a break while ensuring the individual receives safe, respectful, and engaging support. The ideal candidate will be reliable, patient, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of others. Responsibilities
- Provide in-home and community-based respite care to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Support with daily routines, supervision, and companionship
- Encourage participation in recreational and social activities
- Assist with personal care needs as assigned
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of each individual at all times
- Follow the individual's care plan and agency guidelines
- Document services and communicate updates to supervisors and families as needed
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and clear communication Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior experience in caregiving, direct support, respite care, or human services preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel within Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, dependability, and a caring attitude
- Ability to pass background checks and required onboarding requirements Preferred Skills
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Knowledge of person-centered support

Pay:
$18.00- $24.
