No prior experience required Position Summary Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and help get our cats and dogs—mostly cats!—ready for their forever homes? BARKS is looking for a caring, hands-on individual who loves animals and is interested in gaining experience in animal welfare. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with animals and wants to make a meaningful difference in their care and well-being. Responsibilities Participate in the daily operations of a no-kill animal shelter. Help staff and volunteers provide socialization and care for shelter cats. Clean and maintain cat enclosures to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. Work hands-on with animals to help prepare them for adoption and their forever homes. Work collaboratively with shelter staff and other volunteers. Qualifications & Requirements Must be at least 18 years old. A genuine love and compassion for animals. Comfortable performing hands-on animal care and cleaning duties. Ability to stand and bend for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Hands-on training will be provided. Schedule 20 hours per week Work is scheduled across 7 days of the week . A.M. or P.M. shift available.

Pay:

$15.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
