Job Description

As a Day Program Counselor, you'll help adults with developmental disabilities build skills, participate in their communities, explore new experiences, and enjoy fulfilling daily lives. From arts and crafts to community outings, vocational activities, games, and social events, you'll play an important role in creating engaging experiences that promote independence, growth, and inclusion. Day Program Counselor If you're compassionate, energetic, and enjoy helping others succeed, this is your opportunity to build a rewarding career while making a lasting impact. As a Day Program Counselor at NCFL, you will: Provide support, supervision, instruction, and assistance to program participants based on their individual habilitation and behavior plans. Plan and facilitate meaningful activities such as sports, games, arts and crafts, vocational opportunities, social activities, and community integration. Support participants with daily living and personal care needs. Assist with transporting and/or escorting participants to and from the program, on NCFL grounds, and during community outings. Complete accurate and timely documentation, including daily logs, activity sheets and behavior tracking. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized program environment. Communicate with participants, families, coworkers, supervisors, and outside organizations, and participate in staff meetings.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday (only full-time available)
Shifts:
7:30 am
  • 3:30 pm, 8:00 am
  • 4:00 pm, 8:30 am
  • 4:30 pm
Locations:
Paramus, NJ & Rochelle Park, NJ Compensation:
$23.50/hour Overtime opportunities available in our
Residential Program What You'll Need:
Valid driver's license (must be non-provisional, non-probationary, and in good standing) High school diploma or GED Ability to pass background checks and a drug screening Willingness to transport clients in company vehicles to programs, appointments, and outings A caring attitude and ability to assist with daily living activities Ready for a Career with Purpose?
