Help Little Learners Thrive Do you love working with infants, celebrating developmental milestones, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can grow? The Learning Circle YMCA is looking for a caring and dependable Infant Caregiver to join our early childhood team. In this role, you'll provide exceptional care while supporting each child's development during their earliest and most important years. What You'll Do:
Provide nurturing, responsive care for infants ages 6 weeks through 18 months. Support each child's daily routine, including feeding, diapering, napping, and comforting. Create age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration, sensory learning, and developmental growth. Observe and document developmental milestones while responding to each child's individual needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom that meets YMCA and state licensing standards. Communicate daily with families regarding their child's care, development, and accomplishments. Collaborate with fellow teachers to create a positive, supportive learning environment. Follow all YMCA policies, health and safety procedures, and New Jersey childcare licensing regulations.
Salary & Benefits:
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Teachers work 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM. Compensation range for this role is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on education and experience. Requirements:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required Must be at least 18 years old. Experience working with infants or in an early childhood setting strongly preferred. Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ability to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants. Must meet all New Jersey childcare licensing requirements, including required background clearances. About the
