Apollo After School is looking for dedicated individuals to support Pre-K students.

Compensation:

$35 per hour.

Hours:

After Care Monday through Friday from 2:15pm - 6:00pm EST. Apollo After School offers after-school care and enrichment programs at local schools. We are seeking caring, patient, responsible, and reliable individuals to provide personal care and hygiene support to preschool-aged students. The ideal candidate is compassionate, respectful, attentive to students' individual needs, and committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment. The Preschool Personal Care Support Staff is a mobile support position responsible for traveling between designated Pre-K programs to assist students with personal care and hygiene needs. Primary responsibilities include toileting assistance, wiping, hygiene support, and helping children maintain cleanliness during bathroom routines. The employee will travel between designated school locations based on program needs.

Responsibilities:

Provide personal care and hygiene assistance to preschool-aged students, including support with toileting, wiping, and bathroom routines while maintaining their dignity, privacy, and comfort. Assist children with maintaining cleanliness and proper hygiene before, during, and after bathroom routines. Travel between designated Pre-K program locations to provide personal care support as needed. Follow established procedures and schedules for students' personal care needs. Monitor students and help maintain a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment. Respond appropriately to students' individual needs and communicate any concerns to the appropriate staff. Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with students, school staff, and team members. Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and childcare policies and procedures. Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding student information.

Requirements:

Minimum of one year working with preschool-aged children Experience providing personal care or hygiene assistance is preferred. Ability and willingness to assist students with toileting, wiping, and other personal care needs. Patient, caring, dependable, and respectful approach when working with young children. Ability to follow directions, schedules, and established procedures. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Applicants must be 18+ and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Early Childhood Education (ECE), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
