Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN Caregiver to provide high-quality support to individuals in various care settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in assisting with activities of daily living, medication management, and providing personalized care tailored to each resident's needs. As a PRN Caregiver, you will play a vital role in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for those under your care, ensuring a respectful and nurturing environment at all times. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, adhering to established protocols. Support residents with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety guidelines. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' quality of life and mental well-being. Follow safe patient lifting practices and manual handling procedures to prevent injury during transfers or repositioning. Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining proper nutrition based on individual dietary needs. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident areas and common spaces. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care and uphold residents' rights. Requirements Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly desirable. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavioral management techniques. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is required or obtainable upon hire. Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for transportation needs; valid driver's license preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with diverse populations. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist residents with mobility as needed. Familiarity with resident's rights, long-term care standards, and safe patient handling practices.
