Job Description

Job Overview I need a reliable and experienced Weekend Caregiver for at least Saturday and Sunday mornings. Additional shifts may be available. I am a wheelchair-bound married businessman with excellent equipment who has lived in Ruidoso for over 20 years. My current caregivers have averaged over 5 years with me. Duties Assist me with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs. Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality. Use proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques, including Hoyer lifts if required, to ensure safety during transfers. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry etc. Preparing or heating simple meals. Skills Knowledge of patient observation techniques, patient monitoring, and vital signs measurement. Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, first aid, CPR, and basic nursing skills. Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and operate patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts. Good communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
