Position Summary:
At Field of Dreams, we are seeking a Full-time 2nd Shift PCA. The ideal candidate will assist residents with activities of daily living, promote comfort and safety, and support their independence in a respectful and professional manner.
Schedule:
Full-time Responsibilities:
Assist residents with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility), including individuals with dementia and memory care needs Provide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful engagement tailored to residents with cognitive impairments Observe, document, and report resident care, behaviors, changes in condition, and unmet needs—especially those related to dementia or memory decline—to supervisors Ensure a safe, calm, and clean environment that supports residents who may experience confusion, wandering, or agitation Respond promptly and patiently to resident requests and needs, using redirection and supportive communication techniques when appropriate Work collaboratively with staff to provide highquality, residentcentered care within the Memory Care program and broader community
Qualifications:
Current PCA Certification, NY State Previous caregiving or healthcare experience preferred Compassionate, reliable, and patient Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be able to meet physical demands of the role (standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs)
