Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children Plan and implement engaging activities that support early childhood development and learning Ensure safety by adhering to childhood development best practices and mandated reporting laws when necessary Administer basic first aid and CPR in emergency situations to ensure child safety at all times Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily activities Support behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, dressing, and nap times in accordance with individual care plans Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, or nannying roles is highly preferred Demonstrated experience caring for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or children with disabilities or special needs Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages Experience planning age-appropriate activities that foster learning and social skills Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in childhood safety is a plus Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect is essential This role offers a rewarding opportunity to nurture young minds while developing your caregiving expertise.
