Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) working Monday through Friday on the second shift, from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Your energetic approach and commitment to quality care will help foster a positive community where residents feel valued and empowered. ​ Schedule is Monday through Thursday 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Friday 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ​ Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies, ensuring a safe and calming environment Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities Engage residents in social activities, meal preparation, and recreational programs to promote mental and physical well-being Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling to prevent injuries for both residents and staff Maintain resident rights by respecting privacy, dignity, and individual preferences at all times Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and geriatrics is essential for providing specialized support Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities enhances your ability to deliver personalized care Familiarity with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic first aid/CPR certification is required Background in home & community care or long-term care environments demonstrates your adaptability across diverse settings Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks confidently is necessary for resident support Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration are vital for success in this role Join us in creating a caring community where every individual receives respectful, attentive support.
