Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Support patients with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Monitor vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes to healthcare professionals promptly. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with medication administration following care plans. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient observations, and adherence to HIPAA privacy regulations. Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment to ensure overall home safety. Qualifications Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, medication management, first aid, CPR certification, and HIPAA compliance. Experience working with individuals with autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's care), or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks required for patient transfers and mobility assistance. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for personal transportation assistance if needed.
