Whether assisting with daily activities or offering specialized care, your efforts will foster a safe and nurturing environment for those in need. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support to clients of all ages. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, managing care plans, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals. Support clients with mobility using transfer methods like Hoyer lifts and patient transfer techniques to ensure safety during movement. Administer medication following prescribed instructions while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Engage in patient observation to assess mental and physical health status, especially in dementia, Alzheimer's, or neurodevelopmental disorder cases. Facilitate transportation for medical appointments or community outings using personal transportation assistance when necessary. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care environments such as assisted living or nursing homes. Knowledge of specialized care practices including Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and dementia care. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers safely and effectively. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus. Strong communication skills for client interaction and documentation; experience working with care plans and patient monitoring is preferred. Familiarity with home health procedures including medication administration, vital signs measurement, and patient observation. Flexibility to work part-time hours with the potential for full-time shifts; reliable transportation is essential for client visits.
