Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices Prepare and serve nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, including special diets for residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other health conditions Monitor residents' health by observing vital signs, patient monitoring, and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals in accordance with HIPAA regulations Support medication administration and ensure adherence to care plans developed by nursing or healthcare teams Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties and ensuring compliance with infection control standards Provide compassionate companionship and effective communication to foster trust and emotional well-being Assist with transportation needs for appointments or community outings using appropriate safety procedures Requirements Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders support Ability to perform patient transfer methods safely using Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques; heavy lifting may be required Certification in CPR and First Aid; experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is highly desirable Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of patient information Strong skills in meal preparation, patient personal care assistance, and assisting with ADLs Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; experience working with seniors or individuals with intellectual disabilities is preferred Join us in delivering exceptional care that empowers residents to live comfortably and confidently.
