Resident Assistant (Assisted Living) - Job Summary A Resident Assistant supports seniors in an assisted living community by helping residents maintain their independence, comfort, and quality of life. This role involves providing assistance with daily activities, promoting resident safety, and offering compassionate companionship while following established care plans and facility policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, bathing, and mobility. Provide reminders and support for meals, hydration. Monitor residents' well-being and report changes in condition to nursing staff. Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies. Encourage social engagement and participation in activities. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment. Document resident care and communicate effectively with team members and families as needed. Treat residents with dignity, respect, and compassion at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in caregiving, senior living, healthcare, or customer service is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable, patient, and caring attitude. Ability to assist residents with mobility and other physical tasks as required.
