DSP / HPC

- Medina, Ohio19 Hours Per Week | Two HPC Clients + Residential Group Home Shift Independent Equality Solutions LLC (IES) is hiring one experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with two HPC clients in Medina and cover one weekly shift at an IES group home in Medina. We are hiring ONE person for the complete position. You must be able to work the HPC hours AND the Saturday residential shift. Schedule HPC Client #1

Tuesday & Thursday:

10:00 AM-1:00 PM 6 hours per week HPC Client #2

Monday OR Wednesday:

10:00 AM-3:00 PM 5 hours per week

Medina Group Home Saturday:

2:00 PM-10:00 PM 8 hours per week

Total:

19 Hours Per Week This position provides a combination of one-on-one HPC/community support and residential DSP services. HPC Responsibilities During the weekday HPC hours, staff will work individually with clients and provide support based on their needs, interests, and ISP outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

Taking individuals to appointments Getting individuals out into the community Community activities and outings Shopping and errands Supporting individual interests and choices Building and maintaining independent-living skills Assisting with ADLs as needed Medication administration as required Following ISP goals and outcomes Transporting individuals in the community Completing accurate documentation for every service provided We want someone who will actively engage with the individuals and help them participate in their community , not simply sit in the home during the scheduled hours. Saturday Group Home Responsibilities The Saturday shift is an awake residential DSP shift from 2:00 PM-10:00 PM at one of our Medina group homes.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting residents with their evening routines Personal care and ADLs as needed Medication administration Meal preparation Community activities when appropriate Household responsibilities Following individual ISPs Monitoring health and safety Completing required residential documentation Maintaining a clean and safe environment Providing active and respectful support throughout the shift Transportation Requirements Transportation is an important part of the HPC portion of this position. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, current automobile insurance, acceptable driving record, and willingness to transport individuals in their vehicle for appointments, errands, and community activities. Minimum Requirements - No Exceptions Applicants must have: At least 1 year of verifiable DSP experience Current Ohio DODD Medication Administration Certification Current CPR and First Aid Certification Experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities Experience implementing ISPs Experience completing HPC/DSP documentation High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Reliable personal vehicle Current automobile insurance Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work independently Ability to pass required Ohio DODD background checks What We're Looking For We need someone who is dependable, engaged, professional, and comfortable working independently. This position requires someone who can transition between one-on-one community HPC services during the week and residential services at the group home on Saturday. This is not a sit-in-a-chair-and-play-on-your-phone job. During awake hours, staff are expected to be engaged with the individuals they support, complete assigned responsibilities, follow ISPs, and complete accurate documentation.
