Location :
Senior Living & Memory Care Facility Summary :
As a Resident Assistant in our assisted living facility, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. You will provide compassionate and personalized care to assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting their independence and dignity. Your dedication and empathy will contribute to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for our residents to thrive. You will be working three days a week M-F from the hours of 7a-7p. We need this employee to also work every other weekend.
Key Responsibilities :
1.
Personal Care Assistance:
Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting according to their individual needs and preferences. 2.
Mobility Assistance:
Provide support and assistance to residents with mobility challenges, including transferring, walking, and using mobility aids. 3.
Housekeeping:
Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning resident rooms, changing bed linens, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. 4.
Monitoring Health Status:
Observe and report any changes in residents' health status or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals. 5.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including daily activity logs, medication administration records, and incident reports. 6.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with fellow caregivers, healthcare professionals, and other staff members to ensure holistic care and support for residents.
Qualifications :
1.
Compassion and Empathy:
Demonstrated empathy and compassion for the elderly and individuals with Dementia and Alzheimer's. 2.
Patience and Understanding:
Ability to remain patient and understanding in challenging situations, providing reassurance and support to residents. 3.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues. 4.
Teamwork:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. 5.
Reliability and Dependability:
Reliable and dependable attendance, with the ability to fulfill scheduled shifts and responsibilities consistently. 6.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. 7.
Experience:
Previous experience in caregiving or working with the elderly is preferred but not required. Willingness to undergo training and orientation upon hire.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
