Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support to clients in their own homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, home health services, and working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by promoting independence, safety, and comfort. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals promptly. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation. Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring compliance with care plans and medication schedules. Support clients with mobility using proper patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry. Provide companionship and emotional support while fostering respectful communication respecting residents' rights and preferences. Assist with transportation for appointments or community activities to promote social engagement. Experience Candidates should have prior experience working as a caregiver or in home health settings, ideally within assisted living or nursing home environments. Experience working with individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly valued. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, care plans, patient monitoring techniques, manual handling procedures, CPR/First Aid certification, and medication administration is essential. Prior experience supporting clients with developmental disabilities or geriatrics will be considered an asset. Demonstrated ability to work independently while adhering to safety protocols is required for success in this role.

Pay:

$16.00 - $16.45 per hour
