Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid caregiver certification or completion of a recognized caregiver training program. Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by state regulations. Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR certification. Demonstrated experience in providing personal care or support to elderly or disabled individuals. Must be able to drive to Williard, OH to do in-homeca re.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working with clients who have chronic illnesses or cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Additional certifications such as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA). Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation practices. Strong understanding of nutrition and meal planning for special dietary needs. Bilingual abilities to communicate effectively with diverse client populations.
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary, ensuring dietary requirements are met. Administer prescribed medications and monitor clients for any changes in health or behavior. Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and promote mental well-being. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks. Communicate regularly with family members and healthcare providers to report on client status and any concerns. Assist with transportation to medical appointments, errands, or social activities as needed.
