Immediately; flexible for the right candidate About the Position We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, highly organized Full-Time Housekeeper / Family Assistant to support the daily operation of a busy private family residence in Oberlin, Ohio. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in maintaining an exceptionally clean, organized, comfortable, and family-ready home while also being willing to assist with errands, household shopping, organization, deliveries, and other day-to-day family and household needs. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, proactive, professional, and able to work independently without requiring constant direction. We are looking for someone who notices what needs to be done, takes initiative, follows through, and genuinely enjoys creating an organized and welcoming home environment. This position is intended to be a long-term, full-time role for the right person. Primary ResponsibilitiesHousekeeping & Daily Home Care Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and welcoming private residence. Perform routine daily and weekly cleaning, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing, sanitizing, and general household upkeep. Thoroughly clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living spaces, and common areas. Complete room-to-room straightening and organization throughout the home. Perform periodic deep-cleaning and seasonal household cleaning projects. Maintain a clutter-free environment and ensure rooms are returned to their proper condition throughout the day. Help prepare the home for family arrivals, guests, meetings, and special events. Notice household issues or maintenance concerns and communicate them promptly. Laundry, Linens & Wardrobe Care Manage household and family laundry from start to finish. Wash, dry, fold, hang, steam, and iron clothing as appropriate. Properly treat stains and care for delicate or specialty garments. Maintain organized closets, drawers, clothing, shoes, linens, and household storage areas. Complete seasonal wardrobe rotations and organization as needed. Identify clothing requiring repairs, dry cleaning, or other special attention. Prepare clothing as needed for school, travel, events, or daily activities. Maintain an exceptionally clean, organized, and fully stocked laundry room. Household Organization & Inventory Maintain household organization systems and ensure items are returned to their designated locations. Monitor cleaning products, laundry supplies, paper products, toiletries, beverages, pantry staples, and other household necessities. Identify items that need to be replenished before supplies run out. Help receive, organize, and put away household deliveries. Assist with maintaining household inventory and shopping lists. Help organize closets, cabinets, storage areas, and other household spaces. Assist with special organization projects as needed. Errands & Family Assistant Support This role will also serve as an extra set of hands for the household and Operations Manager.

Responsibilities may include:

Running household and family errands. Grocery and household shopping. Picking up prescriptions, dry cleaning, packages, household supplies, or other requested items. Making returns and exchanges. Picking up or delivering items as requested. Assisting with Amazon, Costco, Target, Whole Foods, Heinen's, or other household shopping needs. Helping receive and organize household orders and deliveries. Assisting with meal or food deliveries between locations when needed. Helping prepare for family gatherings, meetings, guests, and special events. Assisting with miscellaneous household projects and administrative-type errands as assigned. Helping the Operations Manager with reasonable tasks that support the family and household. Completing assigned tasks accurately and on time and communicating when they are finished. Vehicle & Household Support Assist with keeping family vehicles clean, fueled, and ready for use. Take vehicles for washing or cleaning as requested. Help ensure commonly used household and family items are stocked and ready. Coordinate with other household staff or service providers when requested. Communicate maintenance, supply, or household concerns promptly. What We Are Looking For The right candidate will be: Dependable and punctual with strong attendance. Extremely detail-oriented and organized . Experienced in professional housekeeping, private-home housekeeping, household management, or a similar role. Knowledgeable about proper laundry, garment, stain-treatment, ironing, and steaming techniques. Comfortable caring for higher-quality and delicate clothing and household items. Able to work independently and complete responsibilities without repeated reminders. Proactive and able to recognize what needs attention before being asked. Comfortable following established household systems, routines, and checklists. Flexible and willing to adjust priorities when household needs change. Comfortable running errands and driving as part of the position. Able to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively. Professional, respectful, and service-oriented. Trustworthy and committed to maintaining complete confidentiality regarding the family, home, schedules, guests, and personal information.
