Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate, energetic In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in their own homes. This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence through personalized care plans. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and essential part of our clients' well-being, delivering high-quality home health services that enhance their quality of life. Your dedication will help create a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for those in need of assistance. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene to promote dignity and independence. Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns promptly. Support clients with mobility and transfers using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safety. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking. Provide companionship and emotional support while engaging clients in meaningful activities to foster social interaction and mental stimulation. Maintain detailed care plans, document patient observations, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care. Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment aligned with HIPAA regulations and home health standards. Requirements Proven experience working as a caregiver in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings. Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's), memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism. Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care assistance with compassion and professionalism. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays, including intellectual disabilities support. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and collaboration with healthcare professionals; understanding of HIPAA compliance is essential. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and manual handling tasks safely. Home & community care experience preferred; certifications in first aid and CPR are highly valued.
