Aurora anticipates opportunities for regularly scheduled permanent hours as staffing needs develop. About the Position House Monitors are an important part of Aurora's residential team and help maintain a safe, supportive, and structured environment for the women and children who live at Aurora. Because adequate staffing is essential to the safety and operation of the house, dependability, punctuality, and consistent attendance are essential. Responsibilities Provide supervision and support to residents during assigned shifts Maintain awareness of resident activities and house expectations Monitor the safety and security of the house Complete routine rounds and ensure doors and designated areas are properly secured Respond appropriately to resident needs and situations that arise during the shift Complete clear and accurate shift notes and incident documentation Observe and document residents taking their medications; House Monitors do not dispense medications Maintain professional boundaries and resident confidentiality Communicate promptly with appropriate staff regarding concerns or incidents Assist with routine house responsibilities as needed What We Are Looking For Successful candidates will: Be dependable, punctual, and consistently report for scheduled shifts Have flexibility to provide additional coverage when available Respond promptly to scheduling communications Be comfortable working independently Follow established policies and procedures Remain attentive and engaged throughout the shift Respond calmly and appropriately to unexpected situations Be compassionate while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries Communicate effectively with residents and staff Experience in residential services, behavioral health, social services, recovery services, security, or a related environment is helpful but not required.
