Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and updating care plans accordingly. Support patients with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition to meet individual dietary requirements. Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other manual handling techniques to ensure safe movement. Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations, care provided, and adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality. Provide companionship and emotional support while encouraging independence and respecting residents' rights in accordance with facility policies. Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment for clients. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care is highly preferred. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and hospice care practices. Ability to perform patient monitoring, manual handling, heavy lifting, and patient transfer methods safely. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus. Experience working with individuals with autism or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client outings or appointments are preferred.
