This role is for people who understand that helping someone bathe, prepare a meal, get safely to the restroom, or make it to an appointment is not "just a task." It is what allows an older adult to stay home, stay safe, and maintain their independence. As an Embrace Care Companion, you will provide non-medical personal care and companionship to clients in their homes. You will help with daily routines, safety, mobility, meals, errands, and meaningful companionship. More importantly, you will become a trusted presence for families who are trying to keep someone they love safe at home. Responsibilities As an Embrace Care Companion , you may assist clients with: Personal Care Support Help clients with daily personal care needs while preserving dignity, privacy, and independence.

Responsibilities may include:

Bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene assistance Toileting and incontinence care Mobility and transfer assistance Fall prevention and safe movement throughout the home Medication reminders, within non-medical guidelines Encouraging independence whenever safely possible Companionship and Emotional Support Provide meaningful connection, conversation, and reassurance.

This may include:

Spending time with clients who may be lonely or isolated Encouraging hobbies, routines, games, reading, or light activities Providing calm, respectful support during difficult days Building trust with clients and families Household and Daily Living Assistance Support a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.

This may include:

Light housekeeping Laundry and linen changes Meal preparation Grocery shopping and errands Transportation to appointments or activities, when approved Helping clients stay organized and on schedule Safety and Communication You are often the first person to notice when something changes.

Responsibilities include:

Observing changes in mood, mobility, appetite, hygiene, or overall condition Reporting concerns promptly to the office team Following the client's care plan Documenting completed tasks accurately Communicating respectfully with clients, families, and team members What We Are Looking For The right person does not have to be perfect. But they must be dependable, kind, coachable, and honest.

Strong candidates will have:

A genuine heart for helping older adults Reliability and strong attendance Patience, empathy, and emotional maturity Respect for client privacy and dignity Ability to follow a care plan Good communication skills Ability to recognize and report changes in a client's condition Professional appearance and behavior A calm, steady presence in the home Willingness to learn and be part of a growing team Preferred Experience Experience is valuable, but character matters more.

Preferred backgrounds include:

Previous caregiving experience CNA, HHA, PCA, or home care experience Senior living, assisted living, hospice, hospital, or nursing facility experience Experience caring for a loved one at home Dementia or Alzheimer's care experience Requirements Applicants should have: Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Ability to pass required background checks Ability to assist with personal care and mobility needs Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly Dependability and willingness to show up when scheduled Respect for clients, families, and coworkers
