Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to 5 individuals in home. As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a key part in enhancing the quality of life for clients with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a comfortable, respectful environment where clients feel valued and supported every day. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques. Monitor patient health by checking vital signs, observing for changes in condition, and accurately documenting findings in care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation to promote healthy living. Provide medication administration support following prescribed schedules and safety protocols to ensure proper patient care. Support clients with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia through specialized memory care techniques and personalized engagement strategies. Assist with transportation for medical appointments, errands, or community activities, ensuring safe personal transportation assistance at all times. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and ensuring the home is hazard-free. Communicate effectively with clients' families and healthcare teams to update on progress, report concerns, and implement care plans aligned with residents' rights and individual preferences. Qualifications Prior experience working in home health care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification. Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, hospice care principles, and resident's rights is desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and utilize patient transfer methods safely; manual handling skills are essential.
