Responsibilities Provide comprehensive personal care assistance, including help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition; promptly report any concerns to medical professionals Assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition tailored to individual dietary needs Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe movement and transfers Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and progress in accordance with facility policies Engage in cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards within the living environment and assist with light housekeeping tasks as needed Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or dementia such as Alzheimer's and other memory care needs Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification Familiarity with care plans development and implementation for residents requiring specialized support like hospice or home health care Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and patient transfers using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times Join us if you're passionate about caregiving excellence!
