Position Overview The Caregiver is responsible for providing basic daily care and companionship for clients in their homes. The caregiver helps maintain care records, observe and report changes in client condition, and communicate with other members of the care team. We'll match you with clients accessible by public transportation Essential Functions for In-Home Caregiver Enable clients to remain in their homes by monitoring and recording physical and mental condition Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following care standards and procedures Provide companionship, support, and personal care services (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility) Plan and prepare meals and snacks, assisting with feeding if needed Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and errands Drive clients to appointments or shopping (if applicable) Document care in client records and communicate with the care team Follow HIPAA guidelines and company policies at all times Participate in in-service training as required Responsibilities Observe client's physical and mental behaviors and report changes to the Administrator or Alternate Administrator Report any unsafe environmental conditions Explain necessary procedures to clients before performing them Maintain continuity of care by documenting in the client's care plan book and mobile app Accept ownership for accomplishing new and different requests that enhance the quality of service Skills & Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Dependable, flexible, compassionate, and able to build strong client relationships Strong verbal and written communication skills Good judgment, time management, and listening skills Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
