Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support, ensuring safety and dignity at all times Monitor residents' mental health status by observing behavioral changes, mood fluctuations, and cognitive functions; report findings promptly to the healthcare team Support residents with medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to prescribed protocols and safety standards Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote cognitive stimulation and emotional well-being, including group activities and one-on-one interactions Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, vital signs, behavioral observations, and incident reports in compliance with facility policies Follow safe patient lifting practices and manual handling procedures during transfers or repositioning to prevent injury Uphold residents' rights by respecting privacy, advocating for their needs, and ensuring a safe environment free from neglect or abuse Qualifications Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, cognitive impairments, or in dementia/memory care settings; assisted living or nursing home experience preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management strategies, and behavior management techniques Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in safe patient lifting practices is highly desirable Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles for community outings or resident appointments if necessary Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members while demonstrating empathy and professionalism Experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic health assessments is a plus Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when needed and engage in manual handling tasks safely Join us in creating a nurturing environment where every resident feels valued and supported.
