access Abilities , a local Home care agency, is immediately hiring Caregivers (known as IDD Attendants) to assist individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in Apollo, PA. accessAbilities values what is important to people with disabilities and their families, who are striving for an everyday life. The Current Shift opening works Saturday and Sunday 7:30am-3:30pm Companion Services Employees provide services to participants living in private homes focusing solely on the health and safety of the participant. IDD attendants might help a participant with: Cooking Cleaning Home chores Shopping Attending medical appointments Making crafts Playing a board game Watching a favorite show Providing companionship In Home and Community Supports Employees provide services to help people gain, maintain, and improve skills that allow them to live and participate in their local community. IDD attendants may assist participants with the following: Gaining socialization and adaptive skills Shopping and errands Going out to eat at their favorite restaurant Taking a participant bowling, to a movie, or the library Exploring a museum, amusement park, or festival Our participants enjoy being involved in community events and we are always seeking out fun things to do locally! We offer flexible schedules! Work when you are available. Part-time hours available. Evening or Weekend Shifts. Position Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older Ability to lift or transfer up to 100 lbs. Valid driver s license and auto insurance Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearancesPreferred :
High School Diploma or GED Previous experience as a Direct Care Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide or Direct Support Professional Prior experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities Apply Today!Online:
