Job Description
Home Instead is seeking compassionate In Home Caregivers to support seniors with non-medical care in their homes. Responsibilities include assistance with daily living activities, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation, companionship, and safety monitoring. Caregivers follow individualized care plans, document client status, and communicate changes to supervisors and families. Responsibilities Provide non-medical in-home care and companionship to seniors Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing Prepare simple, nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed Perform light housekeeping such as laundry, tidying, and dishwashing Offer medication reminders per care plan (no medication administration) Provide safe transportation to appointments, errands, and activities Monitor client safety, mobility, and well-being, reporting changes promptly Follow individualized care plans and document client activities and observations Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members Uphold dignity, respect, and client-centered, relationship-based care Required Skills Personal care assistance (bathing, grooming, toileting) Safe transfer and basic mobility support Meal planning and preparation Light housekeeping and home safety practices Medication reminder management Basic documentation and record-keeping Infection control and hygiene practices Time management and scheduling Use of care plans and following care instructions Safe driving and client transportation
