IDD attendants might help a participant with: Cooking
Cleaning
Home chores
Shopping
Attending medical appointments

Providing companionship In Home and Community Supports Employees provide services to help people gain, maintain, and improve skills that allow them to live and participate in their local community. IDD attendants may assist participants with the following: Gaining socialization and adaptive skills
Shopping and errands
Going out to eat at their favorite restaurant
Taking a participant bowling, to a movie, or the library
