Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, recognizing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are respected. Support safe patient transfers using manual handling techniques or equipment such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Administer medication following care plans and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being, especially for individuals with dementia or neurodevelopmental disorders. Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment to promote overall health and safety. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care preferred. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and first aid/CPR certification. Experience working with individuals with autism, Alzheimer's care, memory care, or hospice care is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely; familiarity with patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation; understanding of home health and community care practices. Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards. Flexibility to work in various settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or private residences.
