Northeast Counseling Services is currently seeking a day shift Residential Worker for our Personal Care Home in Drums, PA. The individual provides assistance to residents with activities of daily living, medication monitoring, and financial budgeting. The position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, and a desire to work in human services. It also requires unshakable commitment to, and belief in, the value and dignity of the human individual. A valid PA Driver's License is required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participates as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in the therapeutic care and rehabilitation of residents. Treats all residents at all times with respect and compassion. Carries out assigned activities and duties with accountability to the Personal Care Home Coordinator or Personal Care Home Director. Observes the behavior, attitude, general condition of residents; responds to their observed needs; reports to Coordinator/Director, any observations, and any other pertinent information regarding the condition of the residents; records the data in accordance with established policy and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and universal precautions; strictly adheres to policies and procedures in this regard. Recognizes unsafe acts or conditions, continuously reports unsafe acts or conditions and takes action immediately. Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks, when given direction by supervisory staff, in providing good resident care; functions in an organized and time conscious manner. Assure the safety and security of facilities used by staff and follow safety procedures.
