Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Caregiver/Personal Care Aide (Non-Medical Home Care), where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing assistance with daily activities. In this energetic role, you will provide personalized support, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for clients in their homes or community settings. Your proactive approach and caring nature will help promote independence and enhance quality of life for those you serve. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those experiencing memory care needs. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide companionship and emotional support to foster social engagement and reduce feelings of isolation Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritious and balanced diets tailored to individual needs Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Help with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer clients with mobility challenges Follow care plans meticulously, including medication reminders and assisting with prescribed therapies or exercises Qualifications Prior experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and dementia or Alzheimer's care is highly desirable Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are required; additional training in hospice care or working with developmental disabilities is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals in achieving their personal goals and maintaining independence
