If you're an experienced caregiver, you do not want to pass this opportunity up. Seeking a compassionate and experienced Caregiver to provide in-home and community supports for a man with autism. The ideal candidate will be patient, friendly, and should have experience working with individuals with autism and providing behavior management tactics. Shifts consist of escorting the client into the community for daily outings, behavior management, and assisting with personal hygiene practices. The client enjoys time alone in his room, so the rest of the shift will be spent monitoring the environment. Responsibilities Assist with medication reminders Encourage and assist client with personal care and hygiene Be a pleasant and supportive companion Employ behavior intervention tactics as needed Monitor environment to ensure the client's safety and comfort Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency Communicate effectively with other members of the client's care team Assist and advocate for client during medical appointments Maintain daily logs Job Requirements Bachelors in Psychology, Education, Counseling, or Social Work

OR NADD DSP

Certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience working with individuals with autism Understanding of and experience employing behavior management skills (CPI knowledge preferred) Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Respectful and compassionate Good time management skills

Driver's License and Personal Vehicle Pay:

Up to $29.00 per hour
