Job Description
We're hiring dedicated individuals to join our team as Personal Care Assistants (PCAs).
Education & Experience — High School Diploma/GED and relevant experience preferred.
Elementary Hours:
8:45 AM - 3:45 PM Secondary (Middle/High)Hours :
7:45 AM - 2:45 PM Position Summary The Personal Care Assistant supports students with disabilities by providing academic, behavioral, and personal‑care assistance as directed by the student's case manager and instructional team. This role helps implement individualized educational programs and ensures a safe, supportive learning environment.Responsibilities:
Student Support — Assist with academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional needs. Instructional Assistance — Support teacher‑directed instruction in cognitive, motor, self‑help, and behavior‑skill areas. Health & Safety — Maintain awareness of student needs and ensure a safe environment. Personal Care — Assist with hygiene, toileting, diapering, and clothing changes. Behavior Support — Follow established guidelines and positive behavior strategies. Physical Assistance — Support students with mobility devices; assist with lifting and positioning. Collaboration — Work with teachers, specialists, and case managers. Mainstreaming Support — Prepare students for participation in general education settings. Recordkeeping — Maintain basic documentation of student progress. Training Participation — Attend required medical, behavioral, and instructional trainings. Social Skills Support — Assist students in developing appropriate social interactions. Teamwork — Work cooperatively with staff and independently when needed. Basic Knowledge — First Aid/CPR procedures; basic record‑keeping; clear English usage.Education & Experience — High School Diploma/GED and relevant experience preferred.
